To manage the peer review process, which is necessary in order
to guarantee the quality of the contributions that are published, we needed
a legal framework.
This we attained by founding an association, in accordance with the association
law 1901, called the HyperNietzsche Association, whose purpose is to become
an instrument for the self-government of the community of Nietzsche specialists,
and whose principal task is, by its Editorial Board, to manage the peer review
evaluation process.
The statutes of the Association stipulate that the Editorial Board will be elected every two years by all the members of the Association. The first Editorial Board, however, was appointed by the founding members of the association.
The Editorial Board will normally work via the Internet, but all members will convene at least once a year. The first convention took place from 4 - 8 May 2001, on the occasion of the conference Un esprit libre sur Internet, which was held at the Fondation des Treilles in Tourtour in the south of France.
